Historic beginnings at Lumen Christi College

08 Feb, 2012 08:32 AM
Primary students began their schooling at Lumen Christi for the very first time on the Pambula Beach campus at the start of the 2012 school year. The 90 students made an enthusiastic start as they moved into their freshly organised classrooms.

Head of Primary, Mrs Anne Maddock, was delighted with the start of the new school year under the banner of Lumen Christi. “The students were very excited to see their classrooms and catch up with their teacher for the year,” she said.

The secondary students were seen assisting the primary students throughout the day ensuring the juniors were able to find their way around.

Special attention was given to the kindergarten children as they begin formalschool for the very first time.

Kindergarten teacher, Mrs Fiona Spinks, was very impressed with the way the children were prepared for school. “They were very keen to begin to learn to read on the very first day,” she said with great delight.
