Mixed response to HSC exams

28 Oct, 2009 09:45 AM
Six years of lessons, essays, homework and exams came to a head for the State’s Year 12 students when the Higher School Certificate (HSC) started last week.

For many students it is their last chance to record the marks they need to matriculate, while for others it signals the start of life away from school.

Lumen Christi Catholic College Year 12 students were asked how they were progressing after their Studies of Religion exam on Thursday, October 22.

Responses were mixed, but one did include a tip for year 11 students.

Alana Broder recommended that students, “never stop studying; you can always get caught off-guard”, while Justin Maher-Smith took it all in his stride, “school is cool; exams are fun.”

Sam Sochacki said, “all my hard work payed off, I knew the answer”, Laura Jesina said, “this exam was ridiculously hard”, while for Erin Nugent it was a case of, “I’m glad it’s over.”

Wayne Wykes summed-up his day, “no hat no play ruined my day. I hate exams”.

The HSC exams finish on Friday, November 13.
