Police are investigating the shooting of a woman at a party in Eden early Sunday morning, January 5.
Just after midnight police and emergency services were called to a property south of Eden, following reports a woman had been injured at a party.
Police from Far South Coast Local Area Command arrived and found a 47-year-old woman with a gunshot wound to her back.
NSW Ambulance paramedics took the woman to Bega Hospital for treatment. Her injuries are not considered to be life threatening.
A crime scene was established and was to be examined by specialist forensic officers.
Local detectives have spoken with a number of witnesses and are continuing their inquiries.
