The following article is my response to Neville Hughes’ letter in Merimbula News Weekly February 15 titled “It’s a ‘fraud’… what are you going to do about it?”
Well Neville I have done what I recommend to other readers of the Merimbula News Weekly to do “ask the CSIRO”.
Dr Simon Torok, of the CSIRO, suggested to search the site on the internet, Real Climate (www.realclimate.org).
I also looked at sites set up by the Climate Change sceptics; these sites contain the work of journalists and other ill-informed writers with a biased and anti real science attitude.
Their articles label eminent scientists in the IPCC as lefties and communists which is absolute nonsense.
These are the sources of Neville’s nonstop tirade.
I can only conclude that the sceptics have been backed by those groups in the international community that take a short term greedy approach to the cost of dealing with climate change.
The crippling cost of “not dealing” with climate change will be borne by our children and grandchildren and I for one find that untenable.
