LETTER: State government needs to get involved in water issue

In regards to last week’s article ‘We need water filtration say residents’ I would like to thank the people that bothered to find my phone number and phoned me to give their support to this issue.

I hope many more citizens will put pen to paper and write to our local government, state government and federal government representatives and voice their concerns. Especially our state government representative Andrew Constance should be made aware of this issue.

After all, state governments past and present have been spending taxpayers’ money hand over fist in the Sydney region.

In the past nine years I have lived in Tura Beach I have not seen the NSW state government ever getting extensively involved in any significant program to bring this area of NSW out of stagnation.

On the other hand, I recognise the efforts Dr Mike Kelly (federal government) has put into this part of the country.
