The Merimbula Tennis Club recently held its annual junior tennis presentations.
It was a great year for junior tennis with three players, Peter Gardiner Jr, Pelenise Ofati and Grace Knox all reaching the state finals.
The most improved junior boy was Declan Simonsen, while the most improved junior girl was Pelenise Ofati.
The overall junior of the year award was won by Peter Gardiner Jr, while Tom Lewis won the “Sorry Mate” award for sportsmanship.
The club will be holding an Australian Open evening at the club on January 19, featuring activities, a barbecue, drinks and tennis on the big screen.
