• There was great excitement at the Pambula Preschool as Merimbula Rural Fire Service brigade firefighters pulled up outside with their big red truck. Captain Grant Stevenson and firefighters Sam Stevenson and Nicole Cooper were on hand to ensure that everyone got a chance to squirt the hose, climb into the fire truck and take a peek at all the buttons and the radio. It was also a great opportunity for the firefighters to get the message across to the children that they should never play with matches or fire and if any young person sees smoke or fire, they should tell an adult straight away. Staff at the preschool said it was a special experience for all the children.
