Bega Cheese has been named the top NSW regional exporter of the year.
The award was announced by NSW Deputy Premier and Minister for Trade and Investment, Andrew Stoner.
The Australian Institute of Export said that Bega Cheese exports to over 50 countries globally with 10 Bega owned brands and 25 contract pack customer brands.
The group now employs 1600 staff, with operations spanning across five production facilities in NSW and Victoria.
Member for Eden-Monaro, Peter Hendy congratulated the management and employees of the company and said that businesses were the drivers of jobs, innovation and investment in the community and represented the life blood of local towns.
