Travelling? heavy holiday traffic has started

Motorist travelling at various locations around the state are experiencing heavy holiday traffic as people travel for the Easter long weekend.

At 2.49pm

On the South Coast: 

Southbound traffic on the Princes Highway in Kiama is queued 8km, adding an extra 50 minutes to the trip.

At 2:02pm 

On the South Coast: 

Southbound traffic on the Princes Highway in Kiama is queued 7km, adding an extra 45 minutes to the trip.

Motorists heading away for the Easter long weekend are advised to plan their trip, allow plenty of extra travel time and expect delays.

As at 1pm: 

On the South Coast: 

Southbound traffic on the Princes Highway in Kiama is queued for 3km, adding about 30 minutes to journeys.

Southbound motorists using the Princes Highway at Kiama are experiencing significant delays.

Heavy traffic is expected to continue throughout today and over the long weekend as hundreds of thousands of motorists travel for their Easter break. 

Motorists are advised to allow plenty of additional travel time and to expect significant delays on main roads heading into and out of Sydney.
